AIG And The Biglaw Snakes

The map below, which shows institutions receiving the payments and other interested parties, illustrates the global reach of AIG’s problems. Several recipients of bailout money from AIG had already received direct bailout funds from the Treasury’s Troubled Asset Relief Program. I am glad to see that several of our own favorite document review sweatshops are proud participants in the economic web of death.

Is anybody getting an LLN in order to ride out the economy or make yourself more marketable?

Wow, more useless information! Great blog!
Really, In these times this is the best you can do?

Time has come to act out, at the law schools, at the firms and at the agencies.

What a lacking I see here. No one is doing anything to help make a difference.

Today a man asked me for thirty cents, it was reasonable so I gave it to him. Maybe it will come back to me.

As I wonder what to do with all my time today I find that organizing is helpful.

Conversation just overheard, "jason to someone on the phone, "I don't know how good my pipe game is, you'll have to tell me, I'm the one giving the dick and not taking it." Advertisements seem in the paper for $10,000 watches and $2,000 shoes. We are truly living on the edge of the cliff of civilization.

Hpw sad that as a people we have come to this. All the promise of mankind and we are awash in internet porn and shit we don't need being sold to us.

When's someone gonna sue the ABA, state bars and a few law schools. What a shitty situation and we are regulated as well. They exist just to take money. Provide no benefit and provide no service. Fail to protect the public or the profession. Really as long as you cross your t's with them you can rob clients or be a shitty attorney. Just pay em what the ask and take the classes. To hell with them.

And could someone tell me where I could get a doc review job?

And that law school education came in handy.

What did the one doc reviewer say to the other?

Anonymous said...

What other doc reviewer?

Anonymous said...

Hey, isn't it about time for a nigerian thread"

Anonymous said...

Okay time to go visit some agencies in person. i plan on shitting in the lobby and shitting my pants.

Anonymous said...

That you count as business professional about as much as doc review counts as a career.

Anonymous said...

hey lay off on the nigerians, they work hard, bah bah bah

Great posts. this is awesome. I am insane

Anonymous said...

If a mouse clicks in an empty doc review room can anyone hear it?

a recruiter told me the other day, "things are picking up".

so, i expect we'll all be employed tomorrow.

It was great working on the AIG review, we made %40/60 with tons of overtime.

Where did all of the work go? Elliot Spitzer was the best AG ever, he got me work for three years!

We definitely have lost a lot of work to India. I used to get called for project 3x per week. But blogs like this exposed the scam to clients and now it's being commoditized and outsourced.

Time to make my ramen noodles for lunch. Bread circus indeed!

I am pretty sure poster 2-10, 12 & 13 are all the same person with multiple personality disorder.

And with my luck I'll be sitting next to him at my next doc review gig (circa mid-2010).

Don't worry I am sure you will get an offer to transfer funds for a Nigerian citizen soon. Easy money.

Eat the rich.

College girls won't dance naked if you are poor.

If Jesus were a lawyer, would he be a doc reviewer since he consorted with the low lifes and more importantly which agency would he work for?

Anonymous said...

If Jesus were a lawyer he would sue the hell out of cross manufacturers.

Anonymous said...

now that is damn funny

LLMs are useless except for tax, especially in area of ERISA. I would focus on another specialization approach. This is the key- I believe- to move out of doc review. Namely, specialization rather than trying to remain a generalist, but without additional cost. That's my strategy.

Anonymous said...

Hey guys, speaking of Jesus, do carpenters make more money than doc reviewers and shitlaw lawyers?

If so, is it hard work?

Thanks

We shouldn't pay our Bar fees if the ABA continues their unconditional support of outsourcing doc reviews. We must organize and have many anti-outsourcing protest/strikes in front of any law firm/company that sends doc review work to India. If you want to work stop bitching and do something!!

Anonymous said...

Um, bar fees have nothing to do with the ABA. They are paid to your State Bar, you know the agency that can suspend you for not paying your bar fees.

We can however ask everyone we know, including law students to not renew their (worthless) ABA memberships, which goes into the pockets of BigLaw whores. (Every ABA employee)

I agree with you. It is time to do something. Students in Europe protest all the time. Here in the US we are a bunch of pussies with law degrees. I can only imagine the impact of having a bunch of attorneys protesting in front of Clifford Chance or Baker & McKenzie for outsourcing their doc review to India. Shame on them and the LPO greedy bastards..

Nah, we're all just sheep, that's why we went to law school.

Someone call Al Sharpton, I'm dead serious. He can help since this issue really affects our African-American colleague reviewers.

Anonymous said...

EVERYONE in finnace or law with a brain already knows that S&C, AIG & Goldman are the AXIS OF EVIL! It's just about darn time though that the main stream media and Joe Public started to understand this.

Ask Al Sharpton how stephen Pagones is doing.
